A respray warranty should be a single page of plain English. Ours is. Here is the gist, with the same logic and language we use in the document itself.
Who is covered
The warranty is issued to you, the owner, on the day we hand the car back. It covers the work and materials Yondex used during your specific project. It is not transferable when the car is sold — the new owner gets a fresh start, but on a much shorter list of guarantees.
What we will repair, free of charge, for as long as you own the car
- Lacquer peeling, blistering or de-lamination on any panel we resprayed
- Loss of gloss beyond what we agreed at hand-back
- Pinholes, fish-eyes or other application defects
- Premature corrosion of any metal we welded, treated or primed during the project
- Any colour shift caused by an issue with the paint we mixed
What is not covered
- Stone chips, kerb damage, accident damage and other new damage from use
- Damage from automatic car washes with brushes — see our care card
- Damage from chemical contamination (fuel spills, brake fluid, harsh solvents)
- Damage from professional polishing carried out elsewhere
- Areas of the car we explicitly excluded from the project
How a claim works
Drop in or call. We do not ask for receipts because we already have your file. If the issue is covered by warranty, we book the car in for repair at our expense, including a courtesy car for full-body work. If it is not covered, we will tell you within ten minutes of looking at it — and then quote workshop rates for the repair if you want it done.
What to keep on file
One thing helps everyone: keep the hand-back folder somewhere safe. It contains paint codes, batch numbers and project photographs that make any future repair faster and cheaper. If you have lost yours, we still hold a digital copy on our system — just give us the registration.
